I worked for my daughter’s pediatrician and when she was about 17, she was really troubled by acne. We received samples of benzaclin in our office and she tried them with great success. Since then the Dr. retired and my daughter went to college. She still struggles with acne. A dermatologist that had seen my daughter a couple of times several years ago wrote a script for her for benzaclin, however it is so expensive that we cannot afford it. My daughter has been out-of-state for college and doesn’t currently have a family dr. - only a GYN for yearly check-ups when she is home on break who I am sure would write her a script. The problem is that we still cannot afford it and it is not covered under the Highmark Blue Shield insurance that we pay for each month. In fact, my husband and I pay $1015.00 per month for our insurance ad $146.00 for my daughter’s and both have such a large deductible that it’s almost like not having any insurance. My husband is a self-employed truck driver and our healthcare expense is killing us. Each month, we have to evaluate if we can keep coverage for ourselves. We have pre-existing conditions and if we drop this plan, we ar not likely to get another. The benzaclin works very well for my daughter. She is currently using the Acne Free from Walmart but nothing works as well as benzaclin had for her. Is there any way that you could help us with samples of this medicaton? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
